Synopsis for Protective Security Officer (PSO) services in various locations Upstate, NY Solicitation 70RFP119RE2000005 The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS) has a requirement to acquire armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services at various locations throughout Upstate, New York. The armed PSOs will protect federal personnel and property at federally owned and leased buildings. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, management, supervision, training, licenses, and permits to provide the services in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). The Period of Performance is for a one-year base period with four one-year option periods and an optional 6 month extension. This requirement will be solicited as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12. Services shall be furnished via an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. This acquisition is being solicited under full and open competition. Resultant task orders under this contract will be firm fixed prices. The source selection process to be utilized for this acquisition is best value/trade-off. The technical, non-price factors, when combined, are more important than price. The estimated PSO basic service hours for various locations throughout Upstate, New York are 1,944,250 hours for a 66-month period.
