The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is conducting market research to assess the defense industrial base's capabilities and readiness regarding end-of-life battery recovery, reclamation, and critical mineral recycling. As the Department of Defense (DoD) executive agent for hazardous waste disposal and combat logistics, DLA must evaluate how new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) universal waste regulations and Federal Executive Orders (including EO 14057 and EO 14110) impact the storage, transportation, processing, and domestic reclamation of military-grade and commercial batteries. Please provide direct, concise responses to the attached set of questions. The responses can be emailed directly to the POC for this RFI or uploaded to SAM prior to the closure of this RFI. If you have any further questions or need additional information please contact the POC for this RFI. This is a Request for Information (RFI) for planning and market research purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future.
