Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract: The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), DTRA West Contracting (J4-CRW), Kirtland AFB, NM, intends to award a firm-fixed-price, sole-source contract to Rocky Mountain Unmanned Systems (RMUS) LLC, 1256 W 50 S, Centerville, UT 84014, for the procurement of a Custom-Integrated Robotic System. Requirement Description: The requirement is for an applied research and development R and D effort to design, engineer, integrate, and deliver one (1) functional prototype robotic system. The system must be capable of autonomously navigating hazardous environments and creating a real-time, three-dimensional (3D) Hazardous Atmosphere Map. The core of the requirement is a complex software and systems integration task. The contractor must successfully fuse data from a Government-Furnished multi-gas chemical detector with data streams from a contractor-provided commercial quadrupedal robotic platform, a survey-grade 3D LiDAR sensor, and a tactical mesh networking radio into a single, unified operational picture for the user. Statutory Authority: This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1)as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
