INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT Director, Submarine Programs (DSP) seeks industry input to advance payload integration capabilities for future submarines. The Director, Design & Construction (D,D&C) within Direct Reporting Portfolio Manager, Submarines (DRPM Subs) will host a classified, two-day Industry Day from Tuesday, September 29, 2026 (9:00 AM EST) to Wednesday, September 30, 2026 (12:00 PM EST) at Systems Planning and Analysis (SPA) 2001 N Beauregard St, Alexandria, VA 22311. This event will focus on existing, emerging, and feasible payload handling systems and payload/host-submarine integration challenges. Future submarines must support a wider variety of payloads than the current fleet. DSP is seeking specific technical solutions and concepts from industry to support the following areas: Logistics & operations: Onloading and offloading payloads above and below the waterline as well as logistics support of payloads underway. Launch and recovery systems for payloads during underway operations. Stowage & maintenance: Secured stowage, servicing, battery recharging, and maintenance of major payload components underway. Command, Control and Communications (C3) & ship control: Command and control of payloads and host ship during launch, recovery, and operations. Platform integration: Power, cooling, auxiliary system (e.g. hydraulics, fresh water) support, off-gassing considerations, and secure data exchange between payload and host ship systems.
