PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE ISSUED. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6-Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is intended as a sole source requirement to BAE Systems. This solicitation is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received by the closing date will be considered by the Government for future requirements. A determination not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Quotes received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. The NavGuide units are manufactured as a replacement for the DAGR units as the DAGRs are now discontinued. BAE is the only manufacturer of the GPS receiver that has the Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) and M-Code capability that supports the form factor and computer interface requirements supported by the NavGuide.
