SOLICITATION NOTICE W912DR1B0003: FOSTER JOSEPH SAYERS DAM-HOWARD LEVEE CONDUIT REMEDIATION 1.) Project Description: Sayers Dam is located approximately 20 minutes by vehicle from Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. The Howard Levee system is located approximately four miles upstream from the main dam embankment. All construction will be on the levee embankment. The purpose of this contract is to slip line the two deteriorated 48-inch diameter corrugated metal pipes that provide interior drainage for the Borough of Howard. The grouted 42-inch outside diameter HDPE liner system requires design by a professional engineer and is to be installed per the liner manufacturer's specifications. Work includes terminations of the slip lining at the intake structures, control manholes, and outlet structures. To comply with the reservoir drawdown, it will be necessary to complete the exterior slip lining for Drainage Structure A between approximately 1 March and 1 April when the reservoir is at approximately Elevation 610.0. Construction of the exterior slip lining for Drainage Structure B can be completed after the initial winter drawdown to elevation 625 feet beginning approximately 1 December and 1 April of each year.
