The USPFO for South Carolina intends to issue an Invitation for Bid to award a single firm fixed- price contract for services, non-personal, to provide all plant, labor, transportation, materials, tools, equipment, appliances, and supervision necessary to repair and expand airfield pavements to meet standard by utilizing conventional design and construction methods at McEntire JNGB. The scope of this project will consist of the removal of existing substandard concrete and asphaltic pavement and the installation of new base course, new concrete pavement (PCC), storm water drainage improvements, relocate taxiway edge lights, signage and paint taxi lines for base assigned and transient aircraft. All new pavements will be compatible with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), Air Force, and installation design standards and criteria. In addition, local materials and construction techniques shall be used where cost effective. The work is located at McEntire Joint National Guard Base near Eastover in Richland County, South Carolina. The award is anticipated to consist of the following line items (CLINs): CLIN 0001: Base Bid, in addition to the base work described above, the solicitation will include the following optional line items: CLIN 0002: Replace all Signs and Lights CLIN 0003: Reseal Ready Alert Apron.
