Description of Work: Contract work consists of a base bid to place approximately 200,000 cubic yards of beachfill, along the Atlantic Ocean coastline in the City of Brigantine, Atlantic County, New Jersey. The project area encompasses approximately 9,300 feet along the oceanfront of the City of Brigantine. The contract work may also consist of up to 5 separate options. The contract work may also consist of 5 separate options to place additional amounts of beachfill per option, if awarded, in locations within and outside of the Base bid areas. Options 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, if awarded, will be for quantities of 25,000, 50,000, 75,000, 150,000 and 300,000 cubic yards, respectively. The project work for the Base Bid and Options, if awarded, also may include, in addition to beachfill: the construction or repair of pedestrian, vehicle, and handicap dune crossovers and dune grass planting. The beachfill material for this contract must come from the authorized borrow area, which is shown on the contract drawings, located adjacent to the project, in the vicinity of Brigantine Inlet. The contract duration for construction is 90 calendar days for the base bid work. If exercised, each option will add additional days to the contract as indicated in the table below.
