NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE ORDER. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITVE PROPOSALS. The United States Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Pacific Region on behalf of Great Plains Region, Cheyenne River Agency, intends to enter into a sole source Firm-Fixed Price order with Butler Machinery Co., SAM UEI: XPN6EN2CZ116, a Non-Indian Owned Large Business, for Repairs to a Caterpillar 140M Blade, under the authority of FAR RFO 12.102(a), for acquisitions valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), the Contracting Officer must document the decision that only one source is available and the basis for the decision. Butler Machinery is the only official authorized Caterpillar dealer for repairs, parts, and equipment service within 120 miles of zip code 57625 capable of providing the tools, equipment, and level of quality required for repairs on this unique and/or highly specialized equipment. Butler Machinery will provide repair services for reconditioning the brakes. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 811310, and the Business Size Standard is $12.5M.
