Market Research and Sources Sought Notice for information on capability and availability of potential contractors to perform maintenance dredging of the Mobile Harbor navigation project in Mobile, AL.This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE and is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this Market Research and Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified Small Business firms who own dredges of the sizes specified below. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used by the government in making appropriate acquisition decisions. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, anticipates a future procurement in fiscal year 2026 for unit price of dredging equipment to perform maintenance dredging of the Mobile Harbor. The requirement will be for trailing suction hopper dredges and/or mechanical dredges with scows. Required minimum hopper dredge capacity is 3,600 cubic yards. Equipment will be required to dredge to a depth of 54 feet and be complete with crew, management staff and support equipment including tugs and various other floating plants as would normally be expected to support a large dredging operation. The material type expected for this requirement will be maintenance dredging material typical for Mobile Harbor composed of sands and silts, with minimal clays.
