Construction Industry Day Introduction In accordance with FAR Companion (FC) 10.001(c), this notice is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a solicitation or obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), nor will the VA pay for information requested. Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) will host an industry day event at the James J. Peters Department of Veterans Affairs VA Medical Center (VAMC), located at 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468 for all businesses (including, but not limited to, general contractors, subcontractor trades, and material suppliers) interested in the upcoming Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) Infrastructure Upgrades construction projects throughout VISN 2 (NY/NJ). The purpose of the Industry Day is to facilitate collaboration between the VA and general construction contractors and subcontractors of all business sizes who are interested in performing work in New York and New Jersey. This session is designed to give all interested contractors a clear understanding of the project s intent, performance expectations, and execution approach. This industry day will help the VA determine the method of procurement and type of socioeconomic set-aside, if any, highlight any industry concerns, gauge general contractor interest in the project, and perform a site walk to show key areas of the Bronx EHRM project.
