03/10/2023 - This is a modification to the synopsis entitled In Space Production Applications (InSPA) NASA Research Announcement (NRA), 80JSC023INSPA, which was posted on February 15, 2023. You are notified that the following changes are made: The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is announcing an opportunity for U.S. entities seeking to develop and demonstrate In Space Production Applications (InSPA) on the International Space Station (ISS) National Lab (NL). This opportunity is made available through the ISS NASA Research Announcement (NRA) NNJ13BG001N, Special Focus Area 1 “In Space Production Applications (InSPA)." This notice is for InSPA Phase 1 concepts in the area of Tissue Engineering and Biomanufacturing. NASA requests the submission of white papers followed by proposals (by invitation only) that focus on applications that use space to serve markets on Earth. Proposals should demonstrate the potential of space to produce superior biomaterials and products over what can be achieved on Earth for important terrestrial applications. The final amendment to Focus Area 1 has been published to NSPIRES. The white paper due date has been extended to April 7, 2023.
